Itinerary

We will drive from Machachi through the wonderful Avenue of the volcanoes, and different cities villages of the highlands,  we will get lunch on the way  and we will arrive to Achupallas Village  in the afternoon, where will set up our Camp, accommodate our stuff and relax  until dinner time, overnight in tents (-/-/D)

After a good breakfast, we will start our hike along Cuadrul river, as we walk up we will get amazing views from the Village, and surroundings after several minutes we will get a typical paramo vegetation (highland straw) where our trail goes through until getting our second camp called Tres Cruces (12,467ft/3.800m), It will take us today 5 to 6 hours. Night and dinner in tents (B/-/D)

Today we will start a bit earlier, after the breakfast, and continue to hike up into an open and eroded terrain, passing Tres Cruces Lake (13,944ft/4.250m), we still hike up to the highest point of the Inca Trail (14,436ft/4.400m), where we can appreciate the mountain formation Osogoche, and even Chimborazo far to the north, we will be walking on the flat terrain until we start going down towards Culebrillas Lake and finally we got our next Camp Paredones (13,058ft/3.980m), today we will be walking  around 8 hours. Night and dinner at the Camp (B/-/D)

After breakfast, we will start our last trekking day towards southern to Ingapirca Ruins, today we can appreciate and walk on stony road of 7 meter wide which was built by the Incas more than 500 years ago, we will get the first Village of San José and will descent to Ingapirca (10,368ft/3.160m) and get our accommodation in a Hotel, today we will walk for about 7 hours.  Night and dinner at the hotel (B/-/-)

Today, we will visit the biggest Archeological Complex in Ecuador, for about 2 hours and then we will drive back to Machachi for another 7-8 hours (B/-/-)
