Katy is passionated about adventure and mountaineering. With experience in high mountain tourism and logistics management, her goal is to provide unforgettable experiences at the summits of the Andes.
At Lonely Summits, she is responsible for logistics planning, expedition coordination, and sales consulting for those who are seeking a safe and well-organized mountain experience. In addition, she designs customized itineraries, including acclimatization programs in Ecuador that combine the majesty of the Andes with the biodiversity of the Galapagos and the Amazon.
As a mountaineer, she understands first-hand the challenges and demands of mountaineering, allowing her to offer a service based on real experience and a deep knowledge of the needs of each expedition.
Her training includes extensive knowledge in expedition management, handling of technical equipment, and extensive experience in organizing climbs to iconic mountains such as Aconcagua and the most recognized volcanoes in Ecuador.
Among the summits he has reached are Illiniza Norte, Illiniza Sur, Carihuairazo and Corazon, as well as a variety of treks that have allowed her to thoroughly explore the geography and challenges of the Ecuadorian Andes. She also knows how to solve different scenarios both in logistics and in place, since she has training as a nursing assistant and rescue in wild areas.
Education & Hobbies:
Katy studied at one of the best universities in Ecuador (Universidad Central del Ecuador), specializing in Ecological Tourism. In her free time she loves to practice folkloric dance, which helps her to de-stress and recharge her energy. Another of her passions is driving cars, a curious fact is that Katy has a type E license. This means that she is an excellent driver. Katy is fluent in Spanish and English, can speak a little bit in French.
