Segundo is one of the most experienced professional mountain guides in Ecuador, has been climbing for more than 25 years, in his vast mountaineering career, he has climbed Cotopaxi summit more than 500 times, as well as the highest mountain in Ecuador, Chimborazo for more than 300 times, similar number of times or more, Cayambe (third highest in Ecuador), and many other traditional and technical routes all over the Ecuadorian Andes, Segundo holds the ASEGUIM (Ecuadorian Association of Mountain Guides) certification and the License of National Guide from the MINTUR (Tourism Ministry). Segundo speaks fluent Spanish and English.

He also has been climbing and leading many expeditions in the rest of South American Andes including the highest mountain in our continent, Aconcagua in Argentina. Segundo is charismatic, professional and very patient. He leads all his groups with much success; reaching most of the time the summits, with all his participants, He is extremely careful and inspires much safety and confidence among all his Guests, Segundo is one of the strongest professional mountain guides in Ecuador, he is ready to join some mountaineering races, and accompany people who want to train in our mountains, or make some records.

Besides of being a Professional Mountain Guide, Segundo helps with the Logistics, he invests lots of time in front of his computer at the office, and as well as out of the office, organizing subjects related to: mountaineering food, selecting and hiring other professional mountains guides, checking and controlling the proper climbing, camping, trekking gear, equipment, and facilities for each participant with each program, getting permits and registrations for all national parks and reserves, and hiring safe and comfortable transportation for our roads to the mountains, etc. He is very passionate for rock and ice climbing, and he spends much of his free time there.  As a complement of his more than 25 years of mountain climbing career, he has attended important courses, such as:

* Mountain Guides Course by ASEGUIM (Ecuadorian Association of Mountain Guides), in April 2009, where, he was one of the strongest participants, physically and technically.

* First Aids course orientated for the wilderness first responder, an event organized by Ecuadorian Red Cross, and Firemen of Tungurahua in April 2014, among others.

* Mountain Guides Course and Examination by ASEGUIM (Ecuadorian Association of Mountain Guides), in April 2018, where and approved successfully, all the disciplines, like:  Rock climbing, crevasse rescue, management of the ricks in the mountains, orientation in the wilderness, among others.

* Updated mountaineering course, By ASEGUIM (Ecuadorian Association of Mountain Guides), in the glaciers, 2021, where he learnt about very important facts of the glacier travel, glacier conditions in our country and possible sceneries in others. 

* Updated mountaineering course, By ASEGUIM (Ecuadorian Association of Mountain Guides), about snow, 2021, where he learnt about very important facts of snow conditions, avalanches risks, etc., in our country and possible sceneries in others. 

* Wideners First Responder course in 2022 by ISTOG (INVESTIGATION AND INNOVATE OF CONTINUE UPDATED COURSES IN ECUADOR)

* Updated course of Innovation, Technology, New products and Touristic experiences, 2023 by ILLARI (INSTITUTE OF HIGH STUDIES)
