Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in México City 2.240m Transfer to hotel for about 1 hour to the historical place, and if the time allows us, we have a briefing for the next coming days, regarding gear check, and all needed last details, overnight in the hotel (-/-/-)
After breakfast, we will be transported to our facilities in San Miguel at the foot of the peak of Orizaba at 3000 meters, that will take us about 5 hours, in the afternoon we will have some relaxing time, or hang around to get enough acclimatization, overnight and dinner in the Lodge (B/-/D)
Today we will start very slowly our acclimatization progress, we will get up early in the morning, will get breakfast and then we will we start and will start our hike to Malinche 4300 m. It will take around 6-7 hours the whole hike, we will be back in the afternoon to our Lodge, we will have time to rest and relax before dinner and overnight in the Lodge (B/-/D)
We will get up in the morning, will get breakfast and then we will we start moving to the southside of Pico de Orizaba and will start our hike to Sierra Negra 4520 m. It will take shorter time than the previous day, around 4-5 hour the round hike, but the altitude will be higher and hill improve your acclimatization process. We will be back by late afternoon to our Lodge, we might have relaxing time before dinner time, Overnight and dinner in the Lodge (B/-/D)
After late breakfast, we will organize the equipment and food for transportation in 4×4 vehicles to our base camp at 4.200, it will take only 2 hours to get there, if the time allows us, we will do some light hike in the surroundings. Dinner and overnight in the Base (B/-/D)
We will start early waking up, get good breakfast get our gear ready and we will go hike up to 4.800m, we will come back to the refuge to have a relaxing afternoon before the big day. We will have a briefing by dinner time about the last facts and details of climbing Pico de Orizaba, we will go early to the bed to sleep and rest. Overnight at the refuge (B/-/D)
The big day has arrived, we will wake up around midnight, get a good breakfast, prepare and put all our gear on, and we will try to leave an hour later for the summit push, the time is variable between 6 to 8 hours for the ascent and about 3 to 4 hours of return to the refuge, if everything goes OK, we will pack our belongings and drive back down to our Lodge in San Miguel Zoapan (B/-/D)
We will use this day in case of weather issues or any acclimatization purpose. Overnight either at the Base Camp or in the Lodge in San Miguel Zoapan (B/-/D)
After breakfast we drive to Mexico City, during the return we will go to the archaeological site Teotihuacan’s Pyramids and after this visit return to Hotel in Mexico City (B/-/-)
Our transportation picks you up at the hotel to take you to the airport in Mexico City (B/-/-)
